This info was started in a post from September 2011, and last updated December 2014. I've changed a bit over the years. I like to think I've been refined :)
I have been thinkin'... one day my "ore" will be found, and he will probably know about or find this here blog. I thought I should try and make it easier for him to get to know me, ya know, so he can fall in love with me and all that jazz. lol. This list and what I have written on this here blog are a pretty good reference points for all things Sarah. Here ya go Prospective Ore! Embrace the weirdness, cause yo, I'm a little weird. These are not being listed in any kind of order, except the first five things, they are just in the order that they popped into my head.
-I need a person who loves God
more than anyone or anything else in the world (Reference this post for more info on the subject.)
-I love my family, I'm the
youngest of four (I was born in Ohio, raised in Salt Lake, and now live in
Tucson)
-I love my friends. They are some
of the most amazing people in the world
-I love food. Talking about it,
cooking it, eating it, you name it. I love it.
-I believe the answer to any question, conflict, or opposition in life is love.
-I want to teach people using the
talents I have. I want to focus on provident living and cooking classes.
-I have a talent to make things
the most efficient as possible when needed
-I show my love and prefer
receiving affection through time and touch.
-I'm not clingy, I'm pretty
independent and I like “me” time occasionally, but I do enjoy being around good
peeps most of the time. I don't like big groups of people or big parties
though.
-I like talking to strangers
which I think is always fun
-I like feeding the missionaries,
and making them weird food to try
-I have a food blog I create and
share whole food recipes and pictures on
-I need someone who rinses their
dishes, is good taking out the trash and compost (chores I don't like), and is
pro recycling, re-using, or repurposing everything else
-I prefer quality over quantity
in most aspects of my life
-I want to have a chicken coop
someday with lots of chickens... and maybe a goat
-I believe with every fiber of my
being we are responsible to help establish and build Zion in our families and communities
-I don't have a television in the
main living space of my home (I don't watch television anymore, but do watch
movies occasionally)
-I do read books and have a
computer (I love the library)
-I love kids and can't wait to be
a mom
-I want to have a big garden, and
I mean BIG!
-I want to figure out a way to
store rain water for my water storage (coolness points to you if you have a
plan for that)
-I want to have an outdoor adobe
oven too (in additional to the house one of course)
-I am a fan of smaller homes
-I love creating and especially
making things with my hands, cooking and I really are friends.
-I enjoy singing (some of the
time I'm even in tune)
-I love to make funny faces at
kids! Okay, seriously, I love to make funny faces at everyone
-My nieces and nephews are some
of my favorite people in the WORLD!!!
-I love love love 70's rock and
80's love songs!
-I love to dance. Not ballroom
type dancing, just grooving to the beat, but only when I'm in the mood.
-I really REALLY like to camp and
want to try a backpacking trip someday
-I can type and average of 75wpm
-I don't have a "set"
favorite color... it changes every few years.
-I don't have a strong preference
on where I live. I'm up for trying anywhere once
-I really like conversing and ask
A LOT of questions. I like to figure out how and why things work the way they
do.
-I love thunder and lightning
storms; enjoying them preferably on a covered porch swing.
-Going to art galleries, museums,
and the theater are a few things I love to do. I don't do them often enough
though
-I love road trips. I don't mind
being the driver, but I am the best passenger ever!
-I like to surf the wind with my
hand whenever I'm driving on the freeway (I've found 55mph feels the coolest)
-I prefer homemade gifts over
store bought ANY DAY!!! I'm a big fan of homemade coupons
-I don't mind washing and doing the
dishes or laundry but I highly dislike putting them away
-Sometimes I need to be told I'm
beautiful.
-I love dressing up when the
occasion calls for it, but most of the time I'm in jeans, a cotton shirt, and
sandals
-I love eye contact
-I own about 15 pairs of shoes, 8
of them are heels
-I dislike drama to the umpteenth
degree! I will avoid it, including people who love talking about it at almost
all costs
-I really like playing in the
water! Swimming, floating, kayaking, canoeing, and rafting and am willing to
try most things
-I can scare myself out if a
swimming pool by telling myself there is something in it. So murky water
outside of a boat, not such a fan of playing in
-I may or may not have a tendency
to be over prepared for things. My purse and backpack are usually overflowing
-I'm usually not late to things,
but I'm usually not early either.
-I really like going for walks at
sunset.
-I like taking pictures and
documenting some adventures in my life. I might be an instagram addict, but I
don't take many selfies and I think of it as a form of journaling if that makes
my addiction more bearable. This is a warning, you will be photographed a lot.
